Beltane Erosia
annual event
(founded in 2023)
May 3, 4, and 5, 2024
Erosia hived off of Beltane Southwest, held in Albuquerque since the late 1970s, in 2023. Sarah & Karl attended Beltane Southwest in 2022 obtained the community's blessings to take this tradition and make it their own! Erosia is creating a Beltane festival to be held annually at our little Land Sanctuary based upon the deep roots of Beltane Southwest.
This event will be a "by invitation only" so reach out through messaging if you want to participate and to join us in planning.
All attendees become members of Erosia's "family" (aka congregation/membership).
NO ONSITE REGISTRATION
As this is a "by invitation" event, please introduce yourself to us by emailing erosiasanctuary@gmail.com and make an inquiry as to whether we have openings left.
Friday evening we will hold a Bardic Circle, which is a community fire & this year we will begin a "Cuddle Puddle" close to the location of this fire for those wanting to nonsexually share touch and be close to others.
Fun for All in the Family!
PLEASE NOTE:
"Cuddle Puddles" are not for sexual touch.
Children go to their camps every night by 9p.
We have this so they can cuddle & share in storytelling before bedtime & before more adult times begin.
After 9p this whole area becomes for celebrants 18 & up with kids back in their "kid camps".
Saturday: Prepare the wreaths, charge and bless the pole, open and bless the Land by digging the hole, process the pole with the Royal Highnies, and once the union of pole and hole are sealed, ribbons managed and floral wreath ready at the top we will dance our glorious May Pole! The ceremony continues with the Naming of the Next Royal Highnies, a Feast, and a Blessed Balefire to be jumped by participants for blessings as they will!
Enjoy Pure Passion and Exalted, Joyful Freedom!
Sunday our Beltane Ceremony concludes with the blessing of the next May Royals, wrapping them in the "ribbon snakeskin" we pull off the pole and honoring all the connections and contributions made. At our first event another tradition was established- the honoring of an Elder- with a blanket wrapping ceremony.
Experience Connections of Blessed, Supportive and Nurturing Community!
